Sassafras

Sassafras albidum

The roots and bark of this tree were historically used to make root beer, or sarsaparilla. It has yellow flowers which become dark blue berries, and it turns marvelous shades of scarlet and orange in fall.

To produce fruit, you will need at least two plants.
