Betula alleghaniensis

Current Plant Size: 2'

Yellow birch is best known for its shiny, golden yellow-colored peeling bark. It is one of the largest of the birch species, and is commonly found throughout woodlands and in cool ravines. Showy catkins appear before the serrated leaves emerge. Young growth and crushed leaves will give off a wonderful scent of wintergreen!
